Background. The article is devoted to the study of personal factors that are related to ideas and behavior with money in the conditions of modern socio-political transformations. The relevance of the study is due to the lack of relevant studies in Ukraine of money ideas and behavior of Ukrainians who invest money in securities and the connection of certain personal characteristics with financial behavior and ideas. The study of the connection of individual personal characteristics with financial behavior can contribute to understanding the peculiarities of behavior and attitude towards money during war, increasing financial competence, in particular, control of one's financial behavior, which is especially relevant in conditions of national upheavals, such as economic crises and wars. The purpose of the article is to study the relationship of financial behavior and financial success with certain personal characteristics of an individual.
Methods. The main attention is paid to the study of the level of anxiety and money ideas and behavior of Ukrainians during war. The article determines the average statistical values of investment training courses, the amount of invested capital, anxiety and money ideas and behavior, searches for connections between the level of anxiety, money ideas and behavior and financial success, by which we understand the effectiveness of securities purchase and sale transactions. The methodological basis of the study is the methods of comparative analysis of average values, correlation analysis between the variables under study, the technique of "Spielberg anxiety self-assessment scale", "A. Fernem money ideas and behavior scale"
Results. The results obtained indicate the presence of certain connections in the characteristics under study, in particular, positive correlations were found between reactive anxiety and the number of transactions, anxiety (especially personal) with inadequate behavior with money – impulsive spending. The connection between the level of anxiety and financial results was not confirmed at a statistically significant level
Conclusions. The practical significance of the study lies in the possibility of using its results for the further development of the psychology of financial behavior, as well as for the development of programs to increase financial literacy and the formation of more rational strategies for making financial decisions under conditions of uncertainty.
