Анотація

Наведено теоретичний аналіз сучасних теорій мудрості, розглянуто становлення і сутність поняття мудрості у психології. Загалом існують дві головні концепції мудрості: одна стверджує афективні якості більше або однаково з когнітивними, притаманними людині; інша зосереджується на когнітивних і рефлексивних здібностях, ігноруючи емоційне життя. В історії філософії розуміння мудрості мало як афективний, так і когнітивний характер, що представлені Сходом та Заходом. Крос-культурні емпіричні дослідження підтверджують загальну відмінність сприйняття мудрості в різних культурах.
